A temporal lift is a brow lift that is confined to the lateral or outer portions of the brow and forehead.
This procedure corrects brows that droop at the outer ends.
Incisions are made either at the temporal hairline, or within the hair of the temple. As with the brow lift, the decision on which incision to use is made depending on the level of the hairline.
An incision within the hair will remove a small amount of hair, and the resultant lift will elevate the hairline as well as elevating the lateral brow. This is a good choice for patients with a good hairline.
An incision at the hairline removes only skin and no hair, and is a better choice for women with a high hairline.
